Charlotte Made This Design Personal Before It Was Ever A Product

We started sketching this one after noticing how many Hornets fans in the Queen City wanted something that said more than just team pride during April. The Charlotte Hornets Autism Awareness Month Support Shirt pairs the team’s buzzing wordmark with a cause a lot of households already carry every day. Up top, “AUTISM” runs across the chest in bold rainbow letters, each one a different color, with a looser cursive line underneath reading “Accept · Understand · Love” instead of a stiff tagline font. Below that sits the Hornets logo itself, reworked so the wings are filled with a puzzle-piece pattern rather than the usual solid teal and purple, and the placement is large enough that it anchors the whole print instead of competing with the text above it. That’s a different approach than most NBA fan shirts, which tend to stick a plain team mark somewhere small and call it a day. Here the puzzle pattern actually lives inside the wing shape, so it reads as part of the bird, not a sticker slapped on top. Teebete put this together as a smaller studio, and honestly matching the puzzle texture to the wing curves took more test prints than we’d like to admit.
