Somewhere between the Thanksgiving table and the last Sunday before Christmas, a Lions fan ends up at a party full of plain red sweaters, wondering where the team went. The Detroit Lions Grinch Bring Joy Shirt is a holiday-season NFL fan tee for Lions supporters who want Motor City pride at family gatherings, watch parties, and Ford Field game days. Standard fan gear usually stops at a logo and a year, while this graphic gives the team a full character to wear it.

Detroit Lions Grinch Design: Where the Details Sit

The Grinch takes up the middle of the print with one hand tucked into a blue hoodie pocket and the other gripping a brown football marked with the Lions logo. His Santa hat carries the same logo on its white band, so the team appears in three places without crowding him out. A white number 16 sits across the hoodie chest, and the striped sleeves borrow from a football jersey. The scowl stays, with narrowed, red-tinged eyes under all that fur trim.

“Lions Bring Joy” runs in bold white capitals above the hat, and “Even to the Grinch” sits below it with “Grinch” set larger in jagged, uneven letters. Some longtime fans of the Lions may see the line as a small reward for sticking with the team through the long stretches between big wins. Bold and readable, the lettering carries across a crowded tailgate lot.

Detroit Lions Grinch Bring Joy Long Sleeve

A Lions Christmas Shirt for Game Day and Holiday Weekends

Many fans reach for team gear on Thanksgiving, when football is already on the TV, and this tee carries into December without feeling out of season. It suits cold-weather tailgating in Detroit, an office holiday party, or a late-season NFL game watched from the couch. Anyone hunting for a Detroit Lions Christmas gift for a relative who already owns the standard jersey may find this a lighter alternative to another logo tee.

We run Teebete as a small team, and the number 16 on the hoodie was the detail we argued over longest, since it gives the Grinch a roster spot. Cold weather helps too, because the design leaves room for a jacket to be layered over it without hiding the artwork.

For the next holiday watch party at Ford Field or in a living room somewhere in Michigan, a hoodie-wearing Grinch clutching a Lions football makes a fitting Lions Grinch Christmas shirt to wear.

Keeping Your Tee Looking Fresh

Cotton is easy to love and easy to care for. A few simple habits will keep the print sharp and the fabric soft for years:

Wash: Machine wash cold (30°C or below) with similar colors. Turn inside out to protect the print.
Detergent: Stick to a mild, bleach-free formula to preserve color vibrancy and fabric softness.
Dry: Tumble dry low or hang dry — this minimizes shrinkage and helps the print last longer.
Iron: Iron inside out on medium heat only if needed. Never press directly on the design.
Avoid: Bleach, dry cleaning, and high heat, which can fade, crack, or shrink the fabric.
Storage: Fold and store in a cool, dry spot to keep it wrinkle-free and ready to wear.
