Detroit Lions Hockey Mask Halloween Shirt

Every October there’s someone at the party in a football jersey insisting it counts as a costume. Lions fans in Detroit can do a little better than that. The Detroit Lions Hockey Mask Halloween Shirt works as a graphic tee for NFL fans around the Motor City who want a Halloween costume idea that still fits a Sunday watch party. The artwork is a pale gray hockey mask stretched across most of the print, with the running Lions logo sitting high on the forehead and the LIONS wordmark curving over the chin. Round vent holes are punched through the mask, and a few of them clip the edges of the logo and the letters, the way holes would interrupt paint on real plastic. The eye openings and the small nose slit sit between the two, so the mask reads as a face from across the room.

Lions Hockey Mask Shirt for Halloween Weekend and Game Day

Football season and Halloween overlap every year, so one Detroit Lions shirt can cover a costume party on Saturday and a home game at Ford Field the next week. Compared with a standard Lions jersey tee with a player number, this one is a less common way to show team loyalty, since the horror-movie mask does the talking. Some fans enjoy the joke of a hockey mask on a football team, and others just want a costume they can pull on in ten seconds. Nobody needs face paint.

If someone on your list plans every fall Sunday around kickoff and still has no Halloween outfit, this makes an easy Lions gift for a football fan. It also suits a tailgate, an office costume day, or a night of handing out candy in a Lions cap.

At Teebete, we kept the mask large so the wordmark on the chin stays readable across a crowded room, which helps when half the room is wearing a mask of some kind. Being a small team of fans ourselves, we liked the idea of a spooky Halloween costume shirt that still says Lions first.

Wearing the Lions Halloween Shirt After October 31

Once the candy bowl is empty, the mask still fits a November watch party, and fans who buy a Detroit Lions Halloween shirt get more than one night out of it. That wordmark across the chin reads just as clearly under a couch blanket in December as it does at a costume party.
